Support technicians work with the graphical workshop to create and maintain a knowledge base of support solutions. These are entered in intuitive structures, with full HTML capabilities for providing clear dialogs with users while resolving problems, and for providing explanations and relevant links when the correct solution is found.
The runtime reasoning engine works like a good technical support representative, developing hypothesis, prioritizing possibilities, interacting with the user to find the correct solution. If no solution is found, all the information can be automatically forwarded via e-mail to human tech support.
Knowledge bases can be deployed on the Web using Windows or Unix servers. Knowledge bases can also be embedded in Java, VB, Delphi or C++ applications.
KnowledgeWright Support is part of a family of products for creating and deploying a wide range of expert systems. KnowledgeWright Support is free for academic, personal and evaluation use. The Standard Edition, $495, and the Professional Edition, $2,500, license a single developer and server.
