July 16, 2002 - Lebanon, Ohio -- Amzi! introduces the next generation of expert system development tools with the release of KnowledgeWright® Guide. The successor to Amzi!'s WebLS®, KnowledgeWright Guide makes it easy to create, test and deploy knowledgebases that help website visitors select products or services, locate information, get answers to common questions, find solutions, learn from experts and more.
Technicians use the graphical workshop to create knowledge bases using a variety of objects. These can be rules, tables, formulas, facts, database interfaces, and questions for the user. Questions for the user can be formatted with HTML to embed images, videos and links. Answers are displayed in dynamically assembled web pages.
Knowledgebases can be deployed on the Web using either Windows or Unix servers. They can also be embedded in applications written in Java, C++, VB or Delphi.
KnowledgeWright Guide is part of a family of products for creating and deploying a wide range of expert systems. KnowledgeWright Guide is free for academic, personal and evaluation use. The Standard Edition, $495, and the Professional Edition, $2,500, license a single developer and server. The Enterprise Edition. $10,000, includes multiple reasoning engines and unlimited developers and runtimes.
