Dec 1, 1999 - Lebanon, OH--The Personal Edition of Amzi!® Prolog + Logic Server™ is now available free of charge and can be downloaded from Amzi!'s web site, www.amzi.com/download. This edition has all the features of the full Professional Edition that makes Amzi!, the e-Prolog™. You can embed Prolog components in web servers, Java, C/C++, Delphi, Visual Basic and many other languages and tools. These components can reason over external databases, as well as data from other clients and servers. And, Amzi! can be readily extended with your own functions to access any existing code or resources. It includes a full tutorial and lots of sample code to get you started quickly.
The free Personal Edition can be used by individuals, students, teachers and researchers to learn Prolog and develop applications. The only restriction is that those applications cannot be deployed for any commercial, business, including the business of an educational or non-profit institution, or government purpose, without upgrading to the Professional Edition. The Amzi! Personal Edition runs under Windows 95/98, NT and Linux.
