Eclipse 3 and Amzi! Provide
a Superior Logic Programming Environment

March 24, 2005 - Asheville, NC - The new 7.2 release of Amzi!® Prolog + Logic Server™ incorporates the Eclipse 3 IDE to provide a powerful and easy-to-use development environment for logic programming. This environment provides superior editing, debugging and project management for logic programs, embedded logicbases and remote logicbases on Web servers.

Eclipse 3 improves on its predecessor in a number of ways. It features a new look and feel with a much more responsive user interface, and the ability to run many tasks in the background. Support for Unicode source files has been improved allowing the development of mixed language application. Eclipse also features improved help, more sophisticated searching capabilities, and tighter CVS integration for team development.

Amzi! 7.2 adds graphical icons for breakpoints indicating the four debug ports: call, fail, redo and exit. This feature inconjunction with the call stack illustrates advanced logic programming features such as backtracking, recursion and unification.

Amzi! supports all the latest web-based technologies: Java Servlets, JSP, XML, VB.NET, C#.NET and ASP.NET. It also supports the latest versions of C++, Java, C#, Visual Basic and Delphi.

Amzi! is available on Windows, Linux, Solaris and HP/UX. The Free Edition can be downloaded from www.amzi.com, and runs 6 months for anyone interested in learning about logic programming. For more information, visit www.amzi.com.
